I wrote 8 pieces for solo alto saxophone and looping pedal that combine improvisation, ambient soundscape, counterpoint, and virtuosity. This is music about earth, which we were told sits securely beneath our feet and grounds our experience of the world. Yet it shifts, flows, disappears, changes color, diverges into many paths, and appears to repeat itself. Dreamscapes.
